In the end, as far as old school boomer shooter remasters go, I totally prefer DOOM, DOOM II & Power Slave over Quake. The next logical step forward would be to plunk it in VR. The sheer amount of options, upgrades and features makes it a must have for fans of the game. But i can still acknowledge how much effort was thrown into it. Something about it's depressing brooding hellish sulking atmosphere and mud colored dreary sterile-ish environments and music really bums me out. Switch version is still great though, and you have the luxury of playing in hand held and table top mode. Bests the Switch version(I've got both) as it supports 120fps(Creams 50% of OLED motion blur, which is a god send, like seriously. The PS5 port of Quake remastered is pefect.
